Here's how the perspective drawing of my bedroom turned out. I'm pretty proud of it.

I know this is hard to believe, but drawing the boxes is the hardest part. The furniture has to be drawn to its exact measurements, which means I have to figure out how high 36 inches is on a grid. It's hard, just trust me.

My boxes now look like real furniture.

Here is the drawing rendered in Photoshop. I'm still not done. I'd like to make a few changes and play with the shadows some more. My favorite part is definitely the chandelier. I love the glowing crystals.

I knew you could do it!
Wow! That is awesome! I'm very impressed!
Lots of detail - I like the bench at the foot of the bed. And even before I read what you wrote, my eye was definitely drawn to the chandelier. I think it captures your time period well. :)
Looks great, Rebecca! :)
good job!! i don't think i would even have the patience for all that. :c)
Man, I should have went to design school! Lol! Fun!!!
Anyway, your BF is right. Total lack of romantic places here. However, Olio in Groton is good! S&P Oyster Co. in Mystic is really good, I've heard great things about Bravo Bravo in Mystic. Also, if you like sushi, Koto in Groton is good. If you go to Stonington Borough Noah's is pretty good. We ate breakfast there one Sunday, it's not fancy, but cute.
Yeah, I forgot about that list of things, lol!
I'll email you more ideas as I think of them :) When are you coming up??
Hi!
Thanks for the comment.
Nice blog.

Hi!
I love your blog! I found you through LaLa's Blog (what? mermaids?) I would love to add you to my list of links! If you don't want it on there just let me know and I will be glad to honor your wishes. My husband and I currently live in base housing and I have been doing the best I can to try to fix it up (very limited) I would love to post the pictures and have you critique them. Four eyes are much better than just two. What do ya think? Let me know and I will post them up! Your blog is such an inspiration. I will tell you this though that is one of the most difficult things about being a military spouse is not having a permanent place to call your own home. There have been so many times we have moved places and I just wished I could tear this wall down and that and remod the whole kitchen and move the bathroom around LOL! Keep up the great work!
Hugs,
Jessica
